Most standards have an uncertainty of ± 0.01 kgm-3 over the stated temperature range. Ethanol, dextrose, and sodium bromide solutions have an uncertainty of ± 0.03 kgm-3.
Only liquid which has passed through the hydrostatic weighing rig is sold.
Standards are sold in 10 ml sealed glass ampoules.
The displayed density on many density meters is affected by the viscosity of the liquid. If you are measuring viscous liquids, you should consider calibrating your meter with a CRM of similar viscosity.
†We do not recommend the use of aqueous standards unless they are required by the fiscal authorities.
